Art Jam Comes to The Middleton Live Well Hub!

Calling all young artists! I am hosting an Art Jam for kids ages 7 and up at The Middleton Live Well Hub, and everyone is invited to get creative. Whether your child loves to paint, craft, or simply make a happy mess, this is an afternoon made for them.

What You Can Make

Pick your favourite project, or mix it up:

  • Paint a birdhouse or a rock
  • Make a holiday card or ornament
  • Decorate a wooden picture frame
  • Create your own freestyle art

We’ll have all the supplies on hand, so there’s nothing to bring but imagination.

Snacks and drinks will be provided, too.

Why Art Jam Is So Fun

There’s something special about a room full of paint, glitter, and big ideas. An Art Jam is a relaxed, no-pressure space where there’s no right or wrong way to create. Kids can try something new, follow their own ideas, and leave with a handmade keepsake they’re proud of, whether it’s a birdhouse for the backyard, a painted rock to tuck in a garden, or an ornament ready for the tree.

It’s also a wonderful chance to make new friends. Sitting side by side with a paintbrush in hand is one of the easiest ways to break the ice. Kids swap ideas, admire each other’s work, share supplies, and chat over snacks. For children who are shy, working on a project together gives them something to talk about, and for those who love to socialize, it’s a happy afternoon with a crowd of fellow creators.

With the holidays around the corner, it’s also a great way to get into the festive spirit. Little hands can make cards and ornaments to give to family and friends, and there’s nothing quite like a gift your child made themselves.
